No Refund Policy — Perishable Goods

All flower sales are final. No refunds are issued on any flower orders. Cut flowers are living, perishable goods with no standard shelf life. They will naturally wilt and die — this is not a defect, it is the product.

Dahlias are a moment flower. They are at their peak for a brief window and decline naturally after that window passes. Typical dahlia vase life is 4–8 days depending on variety, temperature, and care. This is the nature of dahlias, not a quality issue.

If your bouquet has stems that were visibly damaged at the time of pickup, contact us within 4 hours of pickup with a photo. We will review on a case-by-case basis. Claims after 4 hours cannot be honored — flowers change rapidly once cut.

Ordering & Pickup Policy

The flower stand at Scotch Pond Place is first come, first served — no signup, no advance order needed. Hours are irregular but reliable September through October, and are announced on WhatsApp, Instagram, and email as flowers come in.

Pre-order bouquets can be paid for ahead through the site to guarantee one from the next flush. Pickup time is announced on WhatsApp, Instagram, and sometimes email, once your bouquet is ready.

Missed pickups are not refunded or rescheduled. Specific flower varieties and colors cannot be guaranteed. Every bouquet reflects what is at peak bloom on the day of harvest.

Crop Failure & Force Majeure

field & wild is an outdoor farm subject to seasonal and environmental conditions. In the event flowers cannot be supplied due to crop failure, pest damage, disease, extreme weather, drought, flood, frost, or any condition beyond our reasonable control:

You will receive a credit toward a future order. Cash refunds are not issued for force majeure events. We will notify affected customers by email as soon as reasonably possible and will make every effort to supply alternative stems when a primary crop is unavailable.

This applies to pre-orders, stand purchases, U-Pick, and event flower orders alike.

DIY Wedding & Event Flowers

Event dates are only booked in September and October, when the harvest is reliable enough to guarantee bulk stems. Wedding and event orders are not finalized until availability is confirmed by email within 2 business days. Payment is not collected until confirmation.

Once confirmed and paid, orders are non-refundable within 30 days of your event date. Cancellations more than 30 days prior receive a 50% refund. Force majeure cancellations on our end are fully refunded.

Flower varieties and colors are seasonal and cannot be guaranteed. Final stems depend on actual harvest conditions on your event date.

Gift Cards — Massachusetts Law

Per Massachusetts General Law Chapter 200A §5D, all field & wild gift cards (stored monetary value instruments redeemable toward pre-orders or at the stand) are valid for a minimum of 7 years from the date of issuance. The issuance date is included in the gift card confirmation email.

No dormancy, inactivity, or service fees are charged on any gift card. Gift cards are non-refundable for cash. If a gift card is 90% or more redeemed, the remaining balance may be requested as cash per Massachusetts law.

Sales Tax — Massachusetts

Massachusetts sales tax of 6.25% is included in all listed prices for physical products — cut flowers, dahlia tubers, bud vases, handwritten cards, gift wrap, and U-Pick experiences. Digital PDF guides are not subject to Massachusetts sales tax and are priced accordingly.

field & wild is registered as a Massachusetts vendor and remits collected sales tax quarterly to the MA Department of Revenue via MassTaxConnect.
